Meet Lemon
Meet Lemon 🍋 This girl was dropped off at Metro Animal Control on Saturday after being found in the grass outside an apartment complex. She needed emergency rescue, and because of your incredible donations and support over The Big Payback, we were able to say yes without worrying about the cost of her medical care.
Lemon spent the weekend at the animal hospital and was transferred to @goodvetsnash today for additional supportive care. She has been diagnosed with severe mange and secondary infections, and given the length of time she went untreated, the mites ate away at her skin, causing large, open sores.
We don’t know what happened to this sweet angel before she came to us, but we know she suffered excessive pain and neglect. Her road to recovery will be long, but Wags is here to support her every step of the way. Her treatment plan is top of the line, and her adorable personality is already starting to shine.
We know these cases are hard to see - but we hope to share her story showcasing your donations hard at work and saving lives. We will keep you all updated on her progress and can’t wait to share her transformation.
