JOIN OUR VOLUNTEER FAMILY

We’re always in need of loving, passionate supporters to help save more dogs. Our Volunteers are essential members of our team. Whatever your interests or skill set, we have a volunteer opportunity for you!

Wags Kids!

As a family-friendly rescue, Wags & Walks encourages and allows children to get involved with their parents. We welcome parents to volunteer with children at a 1:1 ratio while teens ages 16+ are invited to volunteer on their own after attending an orientation with a parent.

Volunteer Stories

“I volunteer at W&W because I can contribute to saving lives in a variety of ways and have a blast while doing it. When I can create a moment in any dog’s day where they feel safe, loved, and grateful it fills my heart.”

— Megan Biging

“I’ve been volunteering at Wags and Walks for about a year. Every time I feel overwhelmed with something at work or like I’m hitting a wall on something, I do a dog transport be it to/from a vet or a ride to freedom — it always makes me feel better. We think we are doing something for the dogs, but really they are doing something for us.”

— Bobbie Gala

“After my dog passed away I wasn’t ready for another but I needed some dog love in my life. Volunteering at Wags has given me that and more. Dog love, human love, and my new dog baby is a Wags alum.”

— Erika Godfrey
