Meet Rosalia!
Breed: Mixed Breed
Age: 8 years old
Gender: Female
Weight: 55 lbs
This 8-year-old, 65-lb gal is a lovable sweetheart. This sweet girl was found as a stray with lacerations across her legs and ears. The shelter staff suspected that she may have been stabbed multiple times, but no one could say for sure what happened to this poor girl. It was clear she needed our help, so we brought her back to our rescue, where she is receiving some much-needed medical care and plenty of love. Despite everything, Rosalia greets everyone she meets with a wagging tail and lots of kisses. She is learning that the world isn't such a scary place in her foster home and is even starting to get playful. This sweet girl didn't seem familiar with toys when she first entered her foster home, but now she is enjoying playtime and is especially interested in tennis balls. Rosalia is working on mastering her household basics and leash manners as she adjusts in her foster home. She will thrive with loving adopters who will advocate for her comfort and give her plenty of cuddles. If you're looking for a sweet, gentle pup to be your new best friend, Rosalia could be your perfect match!
Meet Kirby!
Breed: French Bulldog
Age: 7 years old
Gender: Female
Weight: 20 lbs
This 7-year-old, 20-lb French Bulldog is an affectionate, happy girl. We rescued Kirby from a local shelter, and when she arrived in our care, she was instantly eager to make friends. This social gal loves snuggling with her people and playing with other dogs, especially her foster pup siblings. She likes to run around and play to get her wiggles out before snuggling up on the couch for cuddles. This eager-to-please girl is working on her household basics and walks well on a leash. She will thrive with adopters who are excited to continue to show her what it looks like to be loved and cared for in her forever home. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, affectionate best friend, Kirby could be your girl!
Meet Helga!
Breed: English Bulldog
Age: 4 years old
Gender: Female
Weight: 39 lbs
This 4-year-old, 39-lb English Bulldog is a confident, spunky gal who is easy to fall in love with. Helga was surrendered into our care by her former owner. She had been living in a home with over 20 other dogs, and their care had become more than what the owner was able to manage. Since entering a foster home, Helga has been loving living as a solo pup, and she would love to find a forever home where she can be the center of someone’s world.
Helga is polite and well-behaved with people, but she isn’t always aware of her size and weight, so she might not be a match for a home with young children. Helga does have the occasional playful streak and will get brief but mighty zoomies when the mood strikes. But her preferred activity is napping in cozy spots around the house. This smart pup is fully potty-trained, does well in her crate, and walks beautifully on a leash. She would prefer to be the only pet in a forever home with limited stairs. Helga will thrive with adopters who will embrace her mellow, affectionate personality and love her for who she is. If you’re looking for a confident, social pup, Helga could be your girl!
Meet Moxie!
Breed: Mixed Breed
Age: 4 years old
Gender: Female
Weight: 46 lbs
This beautiful 4-year-old, 46-lb mixed-breed gal is gentle, loving, and full of heart. We found Moxie at a crowded shelter over a year ago. She was extremely pregnant and gave birth to her puppies in our founder’s home. When her babies were all adopted, it was finally her turn. This sweet girl has been adopted and returned twice, due to no fault of her own. In her first adoptive home, it became clear that while Moxie loves to play with other dogs, she doesn’t want to share her space with one. She can be slow to open up to new friends, and although her second adopters seemed willing to go at her pace, it soon became clear that wasn’t the case. Unfortunately, Moxie came back to us a second time. Since then, she’s been thriving in her foster homes while waiting patiently for the forever match she deserves.
Moxie is the sweetest, goofiest cuddle bug. She loves curling up on the couch for a snuggle and a snooze, going for walks, playing with her pup friends, and getting plenty of belly rubs. She can be hesitant when meeting new friends, but once she feels safe, her affectionate, social side shines through, and she becomes a loyal, adorable sweetheart. Once you’ve built trust with her, she is eager for affection and loves to give kisses and ask for pets.
This smart girl knows her basics, is eager to please, and always happy to show off for a treat or two. She is fully potty-trained, crate-trained, and walks well on a leash. This well-behaved girl also completed a training program with @rosewoodk9, where she worked on building confidence and refining her commands. Moxie enjoys spending time with other dogs, but would prefer to have pup friends, not roommates. All this sweet girl needs is loving adopters who will give her a little extra time to adjust. If you’re looking for an endlessly loyal, affectionate companion to bring joy and warmth into your life, Moxie might be your girl.

Meet Sesame! This 5-year-old, 31lb Beagle mix is a very gentle, sensitive boy who is still learning that people can be trusted. After coming from a large-scale breeding situation, Sesame is understandably overwhelmed by the changes around him and needs plenty of patience as he adjusts to the good life. While he's not ready to seek out human affection just yet, he has shown no signs of aggression, just a submissive, nervous demeanor. He will need a quiet, patient home willing to let him move at his own pace. One thing that helps Sesame feel more comfortable is having another dog around. He noticeably perks up around canine friends, wagging his tail, sniffing, and even giving them sweet face licks. He seems much more relaxed when he has a dog companion nearby and may benefit from a confident, friendly canine sibling. Sesame has lots of confidence to build, but he deserves the chance to learn what a safe, loving home feels like. His perfect family will understand that earning his trust may take time, but every little bit of progress will be incredibly rewarding.
Meet Asiago! This 7-year-old, 27.5lb Beagle mix is a gentle guy who is slowly discovering that the world can be a pretty good place. After coming from a large-scale breeding situation, Asiago is still building confidence and learning to navigate all the new sights, sounds, and experiences around him. While he can be nervous with leash pressure and getting in and out of his kennel, he's already making quick progress! Once he's outside, he enjoys exploring and is beginning to show more of his personality. Asiago has shown that he can enjoy the company of other dogs. He was playful and relaxed with a female canine companion, and seems to do best with calm, respectful introductions. This sweet boy is looking for a patient family willing to give him the time and space he needs to decompress and come out of his shell. With a little understanding and plenty of encouragement, Asiago is sure to show you just how special he is!
Meet Pumpernickel! This 1-year-old, 28lb Beagle mix is a sweet, affectionate girl who is happiest when she’s close to her people. She loves exploring, sniffing around, and checking out everything happening around her before coming back to her favorite place: right beside her person. Pumpernickel is incredibly loving and enjoys nothing more than cuddling up for pets and attention. She’s even been known to hop into someone’s lap when she needs a little extra comfort! She gets along well with other dogs and is especially playful and social with her canine friends. She can be enthusiastic when meeting other dogs and is still learning to recognize when another pup needs a little space, so gentle guidance and appropriate redirection will help her continue building those social skills. Pumpernickel is still settling in after coming from a large-scale breeding situation, but she’s already showing everyone what a sweet, affectionate companion she can be. If you’re looking for a loving Beagle mix who will happily be your shadow, Pumpernickel would love to meet you!
Meet Pumpkin! This 8-year-old, 31lb Beagle mix is a sweet, affectionate girl whose tail never seems to stop wagging. Pumpkin came to Wags from a backyard breeding case, and she's quickly showing us just how much love she has to give. Pumpkin absolutely adores people. She gets excited when her favorite humans approach, happily wagging her tail, leaning in for pets, and putting her face right up next to yours for affection. She's happiest when she's close to someone and will even put her paws up on your legs as if she's hoping for a spot in your lap. She's also been enjoying time outside, where she likes to sniff around, explore, and soak up the sunshine. Pumpkin has done well spending time with other dogs and enjoys calm canine company. She does prefer having her personal space respected and will communicate when another dog gets too much in her face. With appropriate introductions and supervision, she's able to settle in and enjoy being around her furry friends! After everything she's been through, Pumpkin deserves a home where she can spend her days feeling safe, loved, and spoiled. If you're looking for a gentle companion with a whole lot of affection to give, Pumpkin is ready to meet you.
Meet Poppyseed! This 3-year-old, 31lb Beagle mix is a gentle, tender-hearted girl who is just beginning to come out of her shell. Poppyseed came to Wags from a backyard breeding case case, and after everything she's been through, she's understandably taking some time to feel comfortable in her new surroundings. Poppyseed is a very sweet, submissive girl who is slowly opening up. While she's still nervous, she's incredibly interested in people and clearly wants to be close to them. She's been known to settle at her person's feet, enjoy gentle pets and belly rubs, and even show interest in toys once she feels a little more comfortable. Her foster says she's beginning to wag her tail and poke her head out of her crate when they approach, a small but exciting sign that she's starting to feel safe! For now, Poppyseed feels most comfortable in her crate, where she can retreat when the world feels overwhelming. She's looking for a patient, understanding family who will let her decompress at her own pace and celebrate the little milestones along the way. Poppyseed may need some time to fully blossom, but she's already showing us that there's a sweet, affectionate girl underneath that initial shyness.
Meet Rye! This 6-year-old, 32lb Beagle mix is a laid-back, gentle guy who is slowly discovering that people can be pretty great. Rye came to Wags from a backyard breeding case involving more than 70 Beagles, and while his past has made him a little cautious in new environments, he's already making wonderful progress. Rye is an easygoing boy who enjoys taking things at his own pace. He's been warming up more to people every day and will happily approach for pets and scratches, often coming back to check in with his favorite humans. He loves spending time outside, exploring at his own pace, and especially soaking up the sunshine. He's also done wonderfully with other dogs and enjoys being part of a group, but he's equally comfortable relaxing on his own. He relaxes beautifully in his kennel and doesn't seem anxious, making him an especially easygoing companion. He's also been very tolerant during his baths and has enjoyed the attention and gentle scratches that come with them. Rye is still building confidence with some aspects of his new world, so he'll benefit from a patient family willing to give him time to settle in and continue coming out of his shell. If you're looking for a quiet, sweet companion who will happily spend his days by your side, or stretched out in a sunny spot, Rye may be your perfect match.
Meet Jalapeno! This 4-year-old, 28lb Beagle mix is a sweet, gentle boy who is slowly discovering that he can trust people. After spending much of his life outdoors and surrounded by other dogs, he's still learning what it means to feel comfortable in a home, but we're already seeing his sweet personality shine through. Jalapeno can be a little nervous during transitions, especially when leaving his kennel or heading outside, but once he's settled, he becomes a friendly, affectionate boy. He loves exploring the yard, soaking up the sunshine, and coming over for pets and scratches behind his ears. His foster says he has even enjoyed cuddling and taking naps together! He's also doing wonderfully with their resident dog, and the two have been spotted cuddling together. He's making progress on leash and may start out hesitant, but curiosity quickly takes over. Jalapeno is also a very good boy for baths, which is a huge plus! He's still working through some anxiety around his crate and potty routine, so he'll need a patient family who understands that these skills may take time. Jalapeno has already shown that he can relax, nap, eat, and settle into a home environment. With consistency and reassurance, we can't wait to see him continue coming out of his shell!
Meet Cheddar! This 3-year-old, 38lb Beagle mix is a sweet, gentle boy who is just beginning to discover what the good life can look like. Cheddar came to Wags from a backyard breeding case involving more than 70 Beagles, where the dogs had been living together with limited socialization and care. Understandably, he's still learning to trust people and navigate all the new experiences around him. Cheddar can be a little shy at first, but he's already making progress. He's beginning to seek out attention, will come over for pets, and has even started warming up enough to lick a hand. He's especially comfortable around other dogs and clearly enjoys their company, often staying close to the other pups. He greets canine friends with a wagging tail and plenty of friendly interest! Cheddar is still learning about leashes and can be uncomfortable with pressure, so he'll need a patient adopter who is willing to let him build confidence at his own pace. Cheddar has already come so far in just a few days. He's looking for a quiet, understanding home where he can decompress, gain confidence, and learn what it means to be a loved family member. In return, you'll get to watch this sweet boy blossom into the dog he's always deserved to be!
Meet AJ! This 3.5-month-old, 25lb mixed breed puppy is the sweetest little wiggle baby with a big personality! AJ came to Wags as part of a cruelty case and despite everything he's been through, he's remained incredibly friendly, affectionate, and eager to connect with people! AJ is a typical puppy with plenty of energy and loves to play, explore, and soak up attention from his people. He's especially happy when he's getting pets or enjoying a fun toy, and he's always ready to make new friends. He's also shown that he can settle nicely after playtime for snuggles. AJ is still learning his puppy manners and can get mouthy when he's excited during play, so he'll need an adopter who is patient and ready to help him learn appropriate ways to interact. He's also working on potty training. Because of his previous living situation, he's still learning that his crate should be a place to rest, so he'll need continued consistency and positive guidance as he continues to learn. Most importantly, AJ is a happy, affectionate puppy who has come so far already. He's looking for a family excited to help him heal, learn, and grow into the wonderful adult dog he's meant to be!
Meet Pearl! This 4-month-old, 30lb mixed breed puppy is a sweet, spunky girl with plenty of personality! Expected to be medium-sized when fully grown, Pearl is a playful puppy who loves being on the move. Pearl absolutely loves other dogs and has been having a blast with her foster sibling! She enjoys playing tug, wrestling, and snuggling up together on the couch. She's even doing wonderfully with her foster's Great Dane, so she's comfortable hanging out with the big dogs. Pearl would love a playful canine companion to keep her company, but she'd also be happy as a spoiled solo pup. She's also a great little traveler who enjoys car rides and loves sticking her head out the window to see what's happening. Pearl is fantastic on leash and has the funniest habit of carrying her leash in her mouth while she walks! Like any young puppy, Pearl is still working on her potty training, but she's doing well with crate training and sleeps soundly in her crate at night. During the day, she settles nicely for crate time when her crate is covered! If you're looking for a goofy, affectionate puppy with plenty of energy and an even bigger personality, Pearl is ready to meet you!

He strikes the ideal balance between playful and cuddly, happily entertaining himself with toys, zooming around the yard, or chasing his own tail before curling up on the couch for a cozy nap. He loves Kong toys, enjoys walks, and is just as happy playing with his people as he is relaxing by their side. Thank you Wags & Walks for bringing so much love into our home. We love everything this organization stands for (from rescuing, to providing medical care, funding treatment, donating supplies, gathering volunteers to transport and foster and then to finally bringing happiness home)-- we are beyond proud to play a small part of this wonderful community!

We cannot thank Wags and Walks enough for bringing Cannoli into our lives. What started as a foster for Lennon from The Beatles litter quickly turned into a foster failure, as we saw how seamlessly Cannoli fit into our family. Wags and Walks made the process easy, which helped confirm that we were making the right decision!

Forever indebted to Wags & Walks for bringing this girl home to us. What started off as a foster, turned into us adopting our fur family member we couldn’t imagine life without. The foster program and adoption program are exceptional and there’s really no other place you need to search. Their work is incredible and inspiring! Could not admire the team behind Wags & Walks more!
