Adopt Rod! This handsome boy is a 7-year-old, mixed-breed pup who weighs 71 lbs. When we rescued Rod from a local shelter, he had a very large ulcerated mass on his hind leg that needed immediate removal. He's all healed up now but has a scar on his back leg that just adds to his charm! He's been given the all-clear by our medical team and is ready to find his forever people.
Rod is a lovable boy who truly thinks he is a small lap dog. He will happily sit in your lap while you pet him, occupy himself with his toys, and lounge around whenever he can. Rod completed a training program with one of our training partners and worked on his leash manners and other commands. He’s proven to be eager to please and has made such amazing progress. Rod is now in a loving foster home where they are continuing to enforce what he has learned. His foster says he is doing amazing and is such a great dog! He's potty trained, settles well in his crate is an overall well-behaved and mellow companion. He has such a great foundation from his training program and will need adopters who will uphold the training and structure that he has thrived with. He's enjoyed his daily strolls and outings with his foster and would truly make the best addition to a forever home looking for an amazing dog in their golden years.
