Meet Denali! This sweet girl is a 2-year-old Daschund weighing 22 lbs. Denali came to us from a recent hoarding case where she was extremely undersocialized and scared of the world around her. She has spent the last few months decompressing in her loving foster home. With time, patience, and love, she’s started to blossom into the sweetest little companion, and is now ready to find her forever home!
Denali is a gentle and loving girl who is beginning to love everyone she meets. Once she is comfortable around someone, you are her BFF and she is happy to join you wherever you go. Denali adores walks and will wag her tail with excitement when she knows it’s time for an adventure. Since a leash is new to her, she has been working with her foster on leash manners and is making great progress. She loves meeting other dogs and has been living with a small dog in her foster home, and is doing great. She'd thrive with a companion in her forever home whose lead she can follow! She’s crate-trained and potty-trained, content to nap by your side or spend a few hours alone. Denali will need adopters who can continue helping her realize the world doesn’t have to be such a scary place and build her confidence. She thrives in calmer environments where she can decompress at her own pace. We know this girl will make the best addition to a loving family.
