With luxury items like a $610 Moncler puffer or $205 Ralph Lauren cashmere sweater available for dogs, it was only a matter of time before beauty brands joined in on the booming pet market.
On Tuesday, luxury hair-care brand Ouai launched its $32 Fur Bébé pet shampoo to coincide with National Puppy Day. The brand originally debuted a limited-edition run of the product in 2018, but now the shampoo for dogs and cats is part of the brand’s permanent collection. Bobby Bones' Dogs Will 'Have a Spot' in the Wedding Depending 'How Their Training Goes'
It was March of 2018 … and Bobby Bones was alone.
The media powerhouse was not only without a girlfriend at the time, but he had also just lost his dog Dusty after 15 years of companionship. And despite his growing professional success, Bones personally couldn't get over the fact that his couch was pretty much empty.
But then, in August of 2019, the best-selling author and host of iHeartRadio's The Bobby Bones Show adopted a blue-eyed, English bulldog named Stanley. Less than a year later, his girlfriend Caitlin Parker moved in and in October of 2020, she became his fiancée. And if that wasn't enough, as the world continued wading through the coronavirus pandemic, the family of three decided to become a family of four late last year with the addition of a Husky mix rescue they lovingly named Eller.

Pet Adoptions in Los Angeles Still Surging Amid Pandemic
Early on in the pandemic, many adoption shelters nationwide were emptied out, as people with more time on their hands thanks to lockdowns rushed to get rescue dogs and cats. Now, months later — as the White House has welcomed its first shelter dog, President Biden’s Major — adoption rates remain strong across the U.S., according to Barb Williamson of the national advocacy group Best Friends Animal Society.
Agrees, Lesley Brog, founder of L.A.-based dog rescue Wags & Walks (whose celebrity supporters include Patrick Stewart, Judy Greer and Catherine Keener): “We are still receiving thousands of adoption applications per week. Dogs provide us with companionship, support and unconditional love, and we all desperately need this right now.” Aleks Schiffer, the founder and president of I Stand With My Pack, tells THR that the foster-based nonprofit found homes for “140 more animals” in 2020 than the year before.

Pet Announcements: Hollywood Brings Home Dogs, Cats and More
Pets are an exciting addition to any home, and it’s no different when it comes to stars. In fact, some Hollywood pets have become famous in their own right, like Taylor Swift’s three cats Olivia Benson, Meredith Grey and Benjamin Button; Ariana Grande’s 10 (!) dogs and a pig; and Reese Witherspoon’s adorable french bulldog puppy, Minnie Pearl.
As part of Variety‘s newly launched Our Town section, Marc Malkin will be keeping track of all the adorable pets being welcomed into their homes by celebrities, executives and others in the entertainment industry.

Wags and Walks is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of dogs stuck in kill shelters and matching loving families with their perfect canine companion. Since its humble beginnings in Lesley’s backyard, to the larger Adoption Center they operate today, Wags and Walks has rescued thousands of dogs (including my own sweet pup, Murphy), all thanks to Lesley.

Chris Lane + Lauren Bushnell Lane Expand Family By Welcoming New Pup
The Lane's were fostering this sweet girl from "Wags of Nashville," a non-profit pet adoption center that aids in helping furry friends find "forever homes" in Middle Tennessee. Fun fact, it's the same adoption center that helped connect Chris & Lauren to their first fur baby, Cooper.
Watch the video below to see how quickly Kiwi made herself at home by sleeping on the couch, sitting in luggage, snuggling his big brother, and getting belly scratches. When asked for comment, Cooper Lane replied, "I wuv my Lil sis. It's PAWSOME."

Inside Hairstylist Jen Atkin's Time at Home
I have been watching a lot of '90's rom-coms, so Julia Roberts has been top of mind. I was inspired by her really bouncy, fun curls, so I thought I would show girls in quarantine how to get that on their own. I've been doing impromptu hair and makeup tutorials on my IG TV. It's my way of trying to help. Beauty is something that brings us joy, and it is such a strong connector for everyone.

Animal Shelters Encourage People to Foster Dogs While They’re Social Distancing
Over the last few weeks, the new coronavirus outbreak has been affecting animal shelters across the country: Volunteers can no longer come to play with the animals, and donations for many organizations have come to a halt in this uncertain time. Luckily, most shelters are still looking to place animals in a foster situation, which means healthy adults can apply to have a dog or cat come live with them. This frees up a bed at the shelter for another animal who needs to be rescued and means you’ll have a furry companion to spend time with while you're spending time at home.
