Join us Saturday, July 6th, 9-10 AM for a special
Fourth of July Wags Kids Paws & Pajamas!
Wags Kids will enjoy spending time with adoptable cuties while learning about the importance of rescue and reading to pups!
We are holding this event on the Saturday following the 4th of July, which is a very stressful experience for our dogs. The kids will help our team continue to calm the nerves of our onsite dogs and help them keep their tails wagging and spirits high!
Children (ages 6-12) are invited to join Wags Kids for Paws & Pajamas, our monthly kids reading and humane education program! The benefits of reading to shelter dogs are praised by educational programs and rescue organizations alike, so we are excited to offer this program to our community.
Wags Kids are encouraged to bring a favorite book or two from home, or they can choose from our library of beloved dog books. After a brief safety orientation and mini-lesson facilitated by our staff, the kids will be paired with a pup to read.
Please note:
A parent or guardian must be present. You may join your child for reading time or join us for coffee, tea, and light snacks in the lobby.
Register to reserve a spot for a designated Saturday or Sunday morning.
Space is limited, so all attendees must be registered and confirmed. No extra guests, please!
Pajamas are welcome, and close-toed shoes are required.
