Paws & Pajamas: Passover Edition
Join us Saturday, April 12th, 9-10 AM for a special
Passover Wags Kids Paws & Pajamas!
Wags Kids will enjoy spending time with adoptable cuties while learning about the importance of rescue and reading to pups!
Children (ages 6-12) are invited to join Wags Kids for Paws & Pajamas, our monthly kids reading and humane education program! The benefits of reading to shelter dogs are praised by educational programs and rescue organizations alike, so we are excited to offer this program to our community.
Wags Kids are encouraged to bring a favorite book or two from home, or they can choose from our library of beloved dog books. After a brief safety orientation and mini-lesson facilitated by our staff, the kids will be paired with a pup to read.
Please note:
A parent or guardian must be present. You may join your child for reading time or join us for coffee, tea, and light snacks in the lobby.
Register to reserve a spot for a designated Saturday or Sunday morning.
Space is limited, so all attendees must be registered and confirmed. No extra guests, please!
Pajamas are welcome, and close-toed shoes are required.
Easter Family Puppy Yoga with Empowered Yoga
Hop into spring with Easter Family Puppy Yoga at Wags & Walks!
Join us Friday, April 19th, at 9 AM at our West LA Adoption Center (2236 Federal Ave, Los Angeles, CA) for a fun-filled, family-friendly yoga session—complete with adorable rescue puppies! Led by Empowered Yoga, this class is perfect for kids and parents alike.

Paws & Paddles Pickleball Tournament
Paws & Paddles Pickleball Tournament
Get your paddles ready and your teams together! Wags and Walks is hosting our Inaugural Pickleball Tournament “Paws and Paddle” on Saturday May 3rd, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Santa Monica Pickleball Club (2501 Wilshire Boulevard).
Whether you’re a seasoned player or just here for a tail-wagging good time, this event is for everyone. Gather your pack of two and compete across three skill levels:
Beginner (3.0)
Intermediate (3.5)
Advanced (4.0+).
The team registration fee is $200 and includes:
Two drink tickets
A raffle ticket
A beginners' clinic with a coach before the tournament
A swag bag
Access to all of our Wags and Walks activities

Thirst Project's World Water Day 2025
Join Wags & Walks at Thirst Project’s World Water Day 2025
Walk with us in solidarity with the 700 million+ people on our planet who are forced to make a much longer walk every day to their nearest available water source. Participants will be equipped with Jerry Cans, Posters & Signs to help raise awareness & provide easy ways for those we meet to take action with Thirst Project. We will start & finish at Belles Beach House in Venice, CA and following the Walk, we will enjoy small bites, refreshments and each other's company in the outdoor patio. Rideshare is encouraged, but there is street parking and are many lots nearby.
Lucky Paws: Puppy Yoga
Join us for a St. Patrick’s Day celebration like no other— puppy yoga with adorable rescue pups! On Saturday, March 15th at 9 AM, flow through gentle poses, enjoy shamrock-themed fun, and soak up the luck of the Irish while snuggling adoptable puppies. Show your loved ones how much you care this Valentine’s Day by donating for a puppy-gram in their honor! What’s better than puppy love?!
How it works: Fill out this form and make your donation at the link below. Once both are complete, a team member will be in touch with additional details. Make a $10 donation per puppy-gram you would like to send. Your loved one will receive an adorable puppy GIF via text and you’ll have supported our life-saving work in their honor!
Puppy-grams will be sent out via text or email on Valentine’s Day, February 14th.

Did you know over 70% of dogs and cats have some degree of dental disease which when left untreated, can cause severe systemic disease?
In an effort to keep dogs in our community healthy Wags & Walks is teaming up with K9 Grillz to offer veterinarian supervised non-anesthetic dental cleanings at its West LA Adoption Center on Saturday, February 8th, 10 am-2 pm.

PORTRAIT DETAILS:
Each photo session spot is 15 minutes long. This is perfect for photos of up to two dogs and a couple of people. You can select to have photos of just your pups, or your family along with your pups. These photos will be great for holiday cards, prints, artwork, gifts and sharing online.

Your private online gallery to view all the images from your session. This also includes your 3 favorite media ready photos from the session available for download. Additional images, prints, artwork holiday cards and gifts may be purchased separately as well.
