Chowder Needs Your Help!

This is Chowder. After another dog attacked him and was severely wounded, he was taken to a shelter. This poor guy had gaping holes on his legs/armpit area from puncture wounds and tears. Clearly, he was used as a bait dog -- he has scars all over his legs from past attacks, and his K9s are filed down, which is a common trait of dogs used as bait in dogfighting. Due to the severity of his wounds and risk of infection, we knew he needed a rescue and a visit to the animal hospital. Once he was in our care, we rushed him to the ER and scheduled follow-up appointments to ensure he got the medical care he needed. On top of all of this, he is also Heartworm positive. His medical bills have already surpassed $800 for his injuries alone.

Despite his condition and the trauma Chowder has been forced to endure, he is the sweetest boy. He loves people and other dogs and could not be any more gentle and loving. We need your help to ensure this guy has everything he needs for a better future. No amount is too small.
