Help Sugar get her second chance!

Meet Sugar, our newest medical pup! This girl is the sweetest thing, so she needed a name to match. She is estimated to be about 4-5 years old. When we met her in Alabama, we were immediately smitten. She has an old, gentle soul and loves being around people, but she was at risk in the shelter given her age, size, and medical condition. Sugar is heartworm positive and also needed double entropion surgery on her eyes. The surgery and treatment cost around $1,500. We typically spend 10-15k in medical bills each month, and significant expenses like this make that number jump. Sugar is just one of seven dogs in our care that are receiving heartworm treatment this month, and several other medical pups we’ve taken on recently. This girl deserves her second chance, and we are thrilled to get to help her on her journey to a forever home.
