Meet Ashby! This little cutie is a 1-year-old, 16lb, mixed breed pup who is as gentle, affectionate, and goofy as can be. Ashby was initially shut down and fearful when she first entered the program and she’s come such a long way! This girl has settled into foster care and her sweet and silly personality has started to shine! She loves playing with her toys and does an adorable little shuffle when she gets excited. She is a bit timid when meeting new people, but once you win her over she’ll become your biggest fan. Her foster says she is quite the well-mannered house guest as she is potty trained and doing amazing in her crate! Ashby loves her Foster’s pup and has enjoyed having another dog around to show her the ropes. She’s worked through some resource guarding around her kibble and has made progress with the help of her foster. While Ashby’s confidence has started to blossom, she can sometimes be easily startled by sudden movements and loud noises, so she will need an adopter with a more laidback home who will help her continue to build her confidence.
